You can also use advanced search operators first to select messages, then use bulk action.
Here is an example, how advanced search can help you, if you wan to archive all messages before March, 2009, search in Gmail with search operator before:2009/03/01 (YYYY/MM/DD), and in the search result section, select all messages which match the search criteria and archive them.

that option is not coming ....what to do ?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteTRied to run it, entered parameters, clocked on [backup] button. Nothing happens.
ReplyDeleteOnly when I close it down to I get an error message.
